my office
I can't believe I'm actually going to show you what it looked like before...but to appreciate the after, you really do need the before.
I know! Awful, right?! BUT! Let me defend myself a bit. My office used to be upstairs. But I never went up there. It's a spare bedroom, and often times...I was too lazy to go up there. It quickly became a space for storage. Then, Jason bought a beautiful new L shaped desk for himself and suggested he move out into the...well, I'm not sure what you'd call it. It doesn't really have a function. It's an empty room that leads to upstairs. Anyways...he said he would move out there, and I could have his office. Which is downstairs, also a spare bedroom. Well, that day I took it upon myself to move in! We have to get him internet in the other room, so we're currently sharing the space, but it works out really well because while I design and create, he plays video games, and we listen to Pandora together :) But what was it such a disaster, Lindsey?! Well, that's because I was planning a wedding, and every room in my house had wedding stuff in it. Seriously...our house is still a mess with gifts still to put away. I'm not too worried about it, because we have our hometown reception the 18th...and it will just add more, so I'll wait til that's done!
Here's what I did this week! :)
I coach high school cheerleading, and really wanted to display all the squad pictures from the last 3 years. I'm not sure where year 4 is going to go... |
Maxwell is in that exact spot at the moment. |
Not too shabby, right? I've worked for hours straight in it since I cleaned it up, made it functional, and put pretty things in it! I would still love to add some more pretty! I also need to go through that Sterilite. Yikes! But it's pretty and makes me happy! Jason says his side looks so boring now...ha...the wifey can change that! :D Maybe I will add some pictures for him.
One of my best friends got us a deep fat fryer for our wedding. We were so stinkin' excited! We made french fries and mini corn dogs, and oh my! Delicious! Something about crispy fried food..mmm!
Jason's dad came over to watch the Wold Cup {YA TEAM USA!} last night, and I made mozzarella sticks, pizza bagels, and fried Oreos. I know...not exactly healthy...but only 2 things were fried ;)
I used this mozzarella stick recipe and this fried oreo recipe.
I have started to expand my design business L. Paull Designs for All to cover more than just blog designs. I'm now creating DIY printables (like invites, thank yous, announcements, etc) and I love it! With this expansion, I wanted a cleaner, more professional look. I also have been playing with WordPress for the past few months, in hopes to start offering design services for that platform.
So I made the switch from blogger to wordpress for my designs!
It even has it's own storefront! :) I'm going to be working on getting my printables from my Etsy store over on the site, too!
So, if you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed these 2 pictures yesterday...

They were hints :) I created a burlap like digital paper a little over a week ago, planning on creating a new seller kit. Chalkboard and Burlap to be a bit more specific. But, when I got out my papers for my little bunting for my office wall, I was inspired by the colors and patterns to make some

I love it all! Great job on the office! I need to work on my craft room/office so you have given me motivation. I will have to try out the recipes - those are two of my kiddos favorite snacks! I love the papers. I am so glad people like you can do that for people like me! I hope you have a wonderful week!

Your office looks great. That is on my summer to do list because our office is a disaster. I mean for real! Cute papers.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand about having wedding stuff EVERYWHERE. Every day my stuff would multiply like gremlins. It was out of control. I think most of it is finally put away....7 months later. Your little office space looks so neat and organized. You did a great transformation.

Rockin' and Lovin' Learnin'
Our office space is now serving as a school supply storage room. I would love so badly for it to look like yours again!
ReplyDeleteI love all the pretty touches in your office space. We are redoing our guest room to make it an office/playroom. I may have to steal some of your ideas!

Your office looks great! Your before picture looks a lot like my dining room - books and teacher stuff everywhere. I need to get motivated to clean it up and out! I love your new digital paper, too! Thanks for sharing:)
