Budding Blog! {Last day to enter the giveaway!}

Yay for Saturdays and sleeping in. It is finally starting to feel like fall

Today I'm going to link up with I {heart{ Recess for her Budding Blog linky! This linky is specifically for blogs with less than 200 followers! I'm going to go through all the budding blogs after this post! :)

1. Why did you start blogging?
 I started blogging because I've been a blog stalker since I joined Pinterest a few years ago. When I started student teaching last fall, I started implementing all of the great ideas I had found. When I got hired in January as a middle school reading teacher, I just felt lost and had nothing to offer anyone. When I decided to switch to 3rd grade this summer, I decided it was time for me to start my own. I've been overwhelmed with the amount of teachers I've been able to connect with and the crazy thing is...people are starting to use MY ideas! I love seeing my original ideas be repinned on Pinterest. IT IS AWESOME!
2. What is your favorite subject to teach and why?
Normally, I would answer Reading and Language Arts, because that is what I have my endorsements in and spent the majority of my bachelors degree studying. However, I'm finding myself looking forward to Math every day. I think it's because I have so many students ho are behind in Math, and when I see them start to "get it", it makes it that more rewarding. Also because my co-teacher and I do things like this...
3. Describe your teaching style. I just told the secretary my room is "structured chaos". And that is totally true. I enjoy collaborative and hands-on learning. My students know that I am silly and crazy, and they love it. Some of my students join me, some of them just sit back and giggle at me. Either way they are learning, and having fun while doing so. 4. Give three interesting facts about you.
1. I was born in Germany. My dad served our country for 23 1/2 years in the Army and we just so happened to be stationed in Germany when I was born.
2. I am a Hanson fanatic. Yes, like the 1997 hit MMMBop kind of Hanson.
I've been a fan since I was 6 years old and have never stopped. I've seen them live 5 times, and will be going to Milwaukee in October to see them for the 6th time. They release a new album this summer and it ROCKS. My faves are Juliet and Get the Girl Back. My boyfriend, who works part time at Kohl's, even comes home singing Get the Girl back because they play it all the time at Kohl's. He has finally admitted he "digs it".
3. Hanson actually started me on another obsession. TOMS Shoes. Although I haven't gotten a new pair since February 2012, I still own 21 pairs. WHAT?! Yes, 21 pairs. I'm going to treat myself to a new pair this fall or winter...still debating!
5. Do you have a TpT store? Yes, yes I do! You can check it out here!

  2. Wow I honestly didn't know that Hanson were still a band!! We only get the big stars music down here in New Zealand - so that probably explains it. MMMbop was one of my favourite songs when I was in year 7 though!!
    I don't teach math this year, but when I did I love teaching integers, there are just so many cool ways of explaining it to kids!
    Thanks for following me - I'm now following you back!
